Disputatio:ᏣᎳᎩ
I tried to look for this word today at the library with no luck; no Cherokee dictionaries anywhere. (What part of speech is this word? what tones? any long vowels? naaaargh; en:ᏣᎳᎩ is no help at all, and all the online cherokee dictionaries I could find suck.) I did manage to find the Cherokee principal parts, though (on the off chance it's verbal): citation form [i.e., article title] is third person singular, followed by first person singular, third person singular remote past, third person singular habitual, second person singular imperative, and the infinitive. (Also, I still don't know how to spell "Cherokee" in Latin. I would likely do something just along the lines of "de tribu Americana quae Cherokee vocatur". But if a word had to be made up I suppose either Cerochus (à Cherokee) or Zalagus (à Tsalagi). —Myces Tiberinus 06:49 nov 12, 2004 (UTC)
