I'm willing to live with this word... but it seems we need a way to deal with non-established neologisms, especially proper names like this. Talum.

The Bai (w:en:Kingdom of Dali) had its capital at 大理 in Yunnan; Latin Talum [1]. I wonder if something based off that stem ever appeared. (Anyone know of a good Latin history of China?) —Myces Tiberinus 21:32 feb 19, 2005 (UTC)
